Making snow at home is about 3 things.
1. you need a water source(garden hose, pond, river, etc) combine this with a pressure washer for your bulk nozzles.
2. you also need an air source. get the harbor freight 2 hp air compressor when its on sale.
3. you need cold temperature and low humidity will make the best snow. I have found that optimal backyard weather is around 30% humidity and 20 deg F.
I have a very unique system at my house using two pressure washers. it makes 1 foot per hour in the middle of the pile and I have perfected the process to a science over the past year.
