What's your setup and what songs are you currently learning?
I have one kit, and my dad has two that he sets up sometimes
My Kit:
7 piece pearl export, but I have it setup as a 4 piece for simplicity's sake (12 and 16in toms, 14in snare, 22in base). I also have the predecessors to the Flying Dragons double pedal (yamaha).
Cymbals:
paiste alpha hi-hats (14in), sabian sound control crash (16in.), zildjian dry ride (20in), and a paiste pst 5 crash (18in.). we also have a zildjian k light ride (18in) but I destroyed that cymbal, and my dad has 2 other cymbals (20in zildjian k ride and 16in h/h medium control sabian crash) that he won't let me use anymore because I would destroy those too haha.
My Dad's Kits:
6 piece Yamaha maple custom (not absolutes), with 10, 12, 14, and 16in toms and a 14in vinnie caliutta (sp?) snare.
4 piece vintage gretsch kit with 12 and 16in toms, and a 14in maple custom absolute snare. He has an iron cobra petal for these, but normally he sticks with the yamaha pedals that I use.
he's also got the same cymbals that I normally use that are listed above, with the addition of a 13in zildjian k hi-hat set.
