For christmas I got a Nikon J1. If you don't know what this is, it is a hybrid of a DSLR, and a point and shoot. It has interchangeable lens, and the one I got came with a kit that includes 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 and a 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6. The filming capabilities of this camera includes 1080p filming, filming at 30/60 fps. It does not support 24p filming. This camera cost 850 dollars, and I can return it, and use my own money to pay the difference, and get something else like a 60d, or rebel t3i. It is a cool camera, and is a very small size. I was thinking though with this I would never be able to mount on a Glidecam, or attach an external mic. Should I keep this? It seems like a pretty cool small camera.
