I recently got the armada halo and got the bindings mounted to the factory recommended. Should they be there or true center?

no they should not be center mounted. they are a park ski but not a symmetrical ski. if you mounted them dead center then they would feel like they were forward mounted...

i've had these with the bindings at both positions, i've always found that armadas recommended is perfectly fine and its always a safe bet. Center is fun but depends on the ski, for the halos i would say to go for the factory recommended, will be better for normal skiing due to the shape and its close enough to center to be good for rails. in the end though comes down to what you prefer.

I (like many others I know) mounted my alphas at true center, and I love the way they ski. If you are going to be in the park 99% of the time, then you'll be gold. Took em to sunshine opening too, and they ripped all over, even at center, in ~1 foot powder.

I had mine mounted at factory then I got them moved to center because I wanted them to be more adept at spinning. I still ski them everywhere outside the park and they are awesome as an all-mountain ski, I know that technically factory would make more sense if youre not in the park all the time, but mine work amazingly.

have mine center mounted, couldn't be better for all park. asked hornbeck here on ns, told me that he mounts center. since then I don't have doubts anymore

i'm sure it's fine. a different mount isn't going to make you be able to do more tricks. The people who made the skis call it a recommended mount for a reason.
