Which GoPro?

Overall, which GoPro Hero 3 is most worth the money? I won't be doing any serious filming or editing, but looking to just have fun with it skiing, tramping, etc. Maybe a few small edits but nothing to post just to share with friends. I am thinking the Silver, but not sure.

Which is the best deal?

For me, I would never spend the $400 for a GoPro. I wouldn't even spend over $200. The only reason I have one is because I got a huge deal. I did some research though and the Silver and the hero 2 are the same thing technically speaking other then the size, correct me if im wrong. I would go with the Hero 2 as a ton of shops and even target have them on sale for super cheap now that the 3 is out. If you want to save some cash, but if you like the smaller size go with the silver.

personally I would go with black, but I am happy with my original. Also, I am really into video stuff, but my brother just got the silver and it looks pretty cool.

I believe the Silver Hero 3 also has Wifi to your phone I think.

Ya it has wifi, if I got the black, it would be for 1080/60p, 2K (4K is cool, but not super useful yet, though I'm sure I could find something cool). Wifi is icing on the cake, but still a very cool feature

If you want to shoot more photos instead of video I suggest you buy the HER03 Silver Edition.

If you want to shoot more video instead of photos and make edits I suggest the HER03 Black Edition.

both cameras are great, there is not one thing bad about buying a GoPro.

I just picked up a Hero 3 Black Edition. Still have to pick up a microSD card for it though so I don't have much to say about it.
