Hi NS,


I hope you can help me to find some boots that fits me good.


I currently own a pair of FT Wallisch and they we're doing good at first, but now they hurt me real bad in the ankles area and the toe box was a little to wide, my heel was also a little loose so I need to find something that fits me right. My feet and heels are really narrow, low-volume and flat, my arch is pretty low. I mostly ski park and often go for some fun laps all around the mountain so I need something that is not too heavy since I ski alot of park but I love to do huge gaps and land hard so id say im an aggressive skier that like to go big. i've tried the Quests at my local ski shop today and the fit was good, no pain at all in the ankles but im wondering if they are good for the park? I really need more information/reviews about the fit of both pairs. Also all other brands/models suggestions are welcome.

whatever boot fits you and your needs the best is the best boot, doesn't matter what the marketed story of the boot is

Did you get them custom molded? Did you get custom footbeds?

If they fit they will be fine...but the quest has salomon in general have a wider heel...that being said if you have a flat foot and arches foot bed will definitely help in any boot

The Quest is marketed as a 98 last, but it's pretty wide for that number. I'd be wary. It sounds like your FTs are a little big in a few areas, which makes me think the Quest would be too high-volume for you. FTs are too tight for me, but the Quest fits me well. Have you tried on the Dalbello? If not, any particular reason why you're looking at that boot? I would go and try on as many different boots as you can to work out what model works best for your feet.

the il moro t id has one of the best liners you can get, if your foot is narrow it should have no issue fitting, might be safer to go a little on the smaller side size wise. go to a boot fitter, get measured, try on some 3 buckle dalbello's (doubt they'll have the il moro) buy the il moro's and take them back to get fit. custom foot beds and somebody who knows what they're doing to mold the liner and you'll be good to go.

i tried on like 5 different pairs of boots when i was looking, each of them could have worked with a good bootfitter, and my feet dont fit in anything very well, ive got a high arch, super wide feet, big bunions, and the top of my foot is high. i dont necessarily buy the "get the best fitting boot" thing. if its close, get the one with the best liner, best overall quality, and a flex/features you want, a bottfitter can make it fit, obviously get their advice because they know what they can and cant do, and whats good or whats a waste of money. but for the most part, just because one fits a little more comfortable than another the first time you try it on in a shop, doesnt mean its the best boot for you.

I have the Quest max 130's, very tech, stable and powerful boot. Probably a bit stiff for the park for most, but with a softer ski (I have Line Blends) its all good. Very different feel than FT's though, geared way more towards ripping and gettin off piste than jibbing around the park all day.

I have quest max 120s. Heavy and stiff. I don't ski park so I'm not sure how they would be for that. I can tell you that they're more geared toward backcountry skiing and some skinning. They do great on the groomers too
