I've had about 10 days on mine. They're not as pivoty as I'd like in really tight spaces, and a little twitchy skiing flat-out in open powder, but as a single ski for all soft snow they're pretty awesome.

No spins or switch, yet.

yes it lands switch (sage and dana do that from time to time) but it is not as good at landing switch as the bentchetler. i tend to be more of a directional skier, and i find that the automatic suits my style better.

Can you elaborate?

I do a lot of switch landing, off jibby type stuff, not off cliffs,mostly like big slashes and carving 270 out. Can it do that?

I need something that I can push harder than the bentchetler after the first two perfect runs on pow days off the gondola at mammoth start to get tracked out. I don't want to make turns through other peoples lines, i want to blast through them.

from here it would depend on how much you weigh, how tall you are (to a lesser extent), and what skis you have used in the past.

the review in blister echos my own personal experiences- these skis seem flexible but when you ski them, they are totally fine. not a heavy, over damped ski but light and nimble and predictable, in a good way. when i ski them, i don't wish for more.

5'8 155 have the opus and bent chetler 180something in each - definitely would prefer the longest length.

for a guy your size you would normally take the 186 Automatic, but it does come in a 193 which is also a slightly stiffer construction
