Ok, NS. What's the most amount of progression you have accomplished over one season of skiing. What did you start out with, and what did you end up with?

Curious to see how crazy some people go in a season.

Usually like 5 tricks which probably is pretty bad. My style has improved significantly though.

I quit racing last year. i didnt do really any tricks then besides big airs and grabs. now in a few weeks i can do 3's and 3's with grabs.

This will be my 2nd season skiing park. Last year I only got 4 days of park skiing in. Years prior I only skied once or twice a year.

This year my goal is 20+ days with mastering 1s, 3s and 5s turning either direction, fronts and backs and maybe switch fronts. I know it's an ambitious goal but I plan on going to gyms to get trampoline work and I think if I can get 20 days ill make a lot of progress.

Not sure about rails. Just wanna get better at that too.

this will be my 4th year skiing and i can already spin up to 5 and switch 3, 2s on and off and switchups.
hopefully i can learn to spin up to 9 and switch 5, get grabs on everything, then learn to misty, cork and flat
on rails i want to be able to 4 off and have enough control to throw whatever i've feeling without having to overly prepare myself for each trick

Can you misty on a trampoline? One thing I have going for me is I've jumped trampolines since I was 8 years old so feel real comfortable inverting my body.

Last year was the first season I actually focused on skiing park.  I already knew how to do 180's but I learned 3's, 2 on, fs switchup and fs 2 out.  Almost had a few back 2's out.

I've got a lot of goals for this season, hoping to reach most of them: blind swap, front 4 out, 5's, grabs on all spins, switch spins, inverts.

Last season I could do fronts, backs, and up to 7s but they were sloppy. Hope to get clean 9s with grabs, cork 7s, rodeos, mistys and a dub front this year. For rails I want to get 4s out both ways, a 630 out of a canon, cleaner swaps and combos, 2s onto urban rails

I have a feeling most of these two ons are onto boxes. A two onto a rail is a different story. I personally feel two outs of rails are much easier than on.

last year i spent every hardpack/icy day hiking the rail park, and learned some tricks.

270 on to boxes, then handrails.
lipside on to street style downrails
all 4 270s off (including starting unnatural)
butter 270 on to boxes
alien grinds on boxes
tailpresses
late kfeds on longer handrails.

haha i still cant grab or spin more than 540 on jumps. they scare the shit out of me. this year ill have to sack up and throw some corks.

I cant say I've progressed much since like the 3rd year into skiing park (now at 6) I used to rollerblade so much as a kid and was able to take all of my tricks from there to snow pretty simply. I want to learn some new shit this year jump wise cause I'm comfortable on rails if I can get cork 7 5 and maybe 3 and rodeo 5's ill be happy.

Haven't progressed much. I began skiing in junior high. In highschool, basketball took up every weekend in winter. While I don't regret playing basketball, I regret that I couldn't ski more in those years. Started getting more serious in the park last year, but I only had 151cm skis from years back. They worked, but they weren't that comfortable. Also, it's hard to find people to ride with that push me, but that's not really an excuse at all. Last year, I went 8 times, and that is lots for me. I hope that this year I can get out more, polish my style, and nut up and get work done.

My seasons usually only consist of 5-10 days of skiing, so I really don't get much done.

I think I'm at around 70 days on skis and I'm throwing doubles.

when i moved to whistler i could spin up to 5, 270 on, backflip and had never really hit a big cliff

after the season i had rodeo 5's and sevens, normal sevens all in the XL black park

and i sent air jordan and many other what id consider gnarlier lines and my tree skiing and pow skiing improved 10 fold over the season

anyone just learning rails. TAKE THIS TO HEART.

if you learn rails both ways from the start, it makes unnatural spinning and switch ups SO much easier.

I got into park at the middle to end of last season ( 2012 ). That year I had a day at Cannon Mountain and I went from barely being able to straight air a descent sized jump to doing 3's both ways easily at the end of the day. And after practicing rails on turf, I was able to 2's on 2's off, k - feds, b- feds, and switch 2's on in one month. My goals for the end of this season are 5's with all sorts of grabs, 7's with no grab but clean, backflips, and all sorts of rails. I am also going to windells next summer so that should help.

This is my second year. I can now 3, do a few grabs, do a rail, and like surface 3's on boxes. Doing A LOT more than last year. Lat year I had no balls...

This is my 5th season ever skiing, I can 9, any single flip with a spin up to a 7, 270s on rails 4s out, the occasional switch up, idk, I plan on attempting dubs this year

I started park skiing three years ago with absolutely no idea what the hell I was doing. Now, not even a full three seasons later I can do 2 pretz 2 on almost any handrail.
All 4 450's out
Dub Backflip
Any Flip with spins up to 7.
Both way spins up to 5.
Left spins up to 9.
Both way swaps and pretz 2 or 4 out.

I've progressed the most this season and last though, almost all the tricks I just named were learned this year, minus fs sway fs 2 & 4. At this rate of progression I hope to have about every rail trick there is by the end of this year and a kangaroo flip, possibly dub sw rodeo 9 & 10 and maybe dub cork 10.

traded my skis for snowblades and progressevely got gayer. i got down the kissing and bj's i hope to be taking it full force raw dog from a well hung black man by the end of the year.  i also learned boxes

i may not be as progressive as you but i am proud of my newly learned trix. you can watch my parks pro team video where i land not only a backflip but also a twohundred and sevendy degree rotation on to a hand crafted wooden box.  im not yet flexiable enuff to get my legs behind my head for the "pretzal" tricks u guys are so good at!

This season. It has begun about one ½ months ago and I've already learnt more than last two years together. Last season I could do kfeds and 5s with grabs and such, but this season, I've already learn't really much new stuff on rails (pretzels, bs stuff in general), I've learn't to spin faster with grabs, I've learn't flat 3s, 5s, 7s, plus I guess my style has gotten little better.

Learning how to fall/bail without hurting yourself. Also, just going for stuff no matter how uncomfortable you feel about doing it.

i have gotten down 5 dif rail tricks this year, and variations of 360's and 540's. butter 3's 5's hand drag 3's 5's etc.

I started skiing this year and I can 360, lipslide rails, front 2 out, back 2 out and I tried a front flip but didnt make it. Any one have any tips for frontflips?

last year was my 1st year with about 12 days, and i went from nothing to doing 3's 5's and almost 7's both ways.
Learned 270 onto boxes, switch ups, 270 out of boxes, surfaces and presses.
Learned 270 out of rails, did a switch up once and sliding dfd's rainbows etc...
Bought a trampoline and went from nothing to double corks.

This year, i'll be getting atleast 7 days, so i'm hoping to do 9's, maybe 10's, backs, fronts and flats aswell as butter 3s and maybe 5s.
270 onto rails, switch ups and 450 outs, switch ups on dfds, rainbows ect...
and crazy creative stuff on boxes

i know you are asking about one year but i had skied maybe 10 times up until my junior year in high school. I then joined a park crew at a local resort and got to ski every single day for both winter seasons my junior and senior years of high school.

junior year i went from not even being able to slide a rail or hit a jump to being able to only spin a 3, front flip, back flip, and flat 3's. on rails i could do front and back 2's out natural and unnatural and i could sketchily do 2's onto flat rails.

senior year i learned to spin up to a 7, learned rodeos up to a 7 and flatspins up to a 7, that spring i landed a double back flip and double flat 7s. on rails i got 4s out front and back naturally and i learned to 2 onto urban and out of them along with front and back swaps.

then i went to college and im a junior at Virginia Tech now and i'm an engineering major so i hardly get to ski anymore. i have definitely lost my consistency and didn't do any doubles last year.

i live at the base of two small mountains in western Pennsylvania, hidden valley and seven springs, so to go to either its no more than a 15 minute drive. what helped me the most was definitely being able to ski everyday. i literally went from buying my first pair of skis to doing a double 2 years later. the double wasn't picture perfect but it was still a double. what also helped was i did gymnastics for like 5 months when i was about 10 years old so i learned to flip which is why i learned inverted tricks way more easily than spins. i still cant do a cork and i don't enjoy spinning really at all. i also was able to practice on a trampoline every once in a while and a good many of my friends are really into skiing as well, and they helped me so much. go out with some of your friends and enjoy it and try new stuff that's within your abilities, progression is going to come if you keep doing that.

I built a backyard setup 2 years a go and this is were I learned everything on rails. Now I hope to learn right 270s on but this trick is just too fucked up for me

i could barely do rails at the beginning of this year and i can do switch 2 to pretzel 2's easily now and on jumps ive just been getting everything back from last year cause theres basically not enough snow to make jumps around here so they only have a few small kickers

I've been skiing a bit of park quite a bit but never really serious about it these past seasons (mostly because of shitty old twin tips). this year i'm planning on getting my switch 3 better and getting better at rails and than maybe try a 5 and 7 and maybe a cork 3-5

The thing that helped me the most was when I grew some balls and tried flat 3 first time. After that I wasn't scared to try new tricks anymore.

I think it's a fairly good excuse for not progressing much. When I ski with my snowboard friends I don't try nearly as many things, but when I'm with my ski friends they push me and I can relate to them and I notice I get way better. The other day I learned 270 on to rails and to 360 35 foot jumps. It's awesome to ski with friends that push you. I also disastered a dfd rail with my friend. Without ski friends I wouldn't be nearly as good as I am now. Not saying I'm amazing, but in my eyes i'm a better then average park skier than most people at my hill.
