Ski help

so i thought i knew all the skis out there but recently i found my self asking if there is a ski out there for me.
im looking for the ski to be nimble yet able to charge chop and hard snow while being playfull
i currently ride the moment jag sharks but there are days i dont like them because they are not nimble or playful but when charging somthing fast and wide open they are great.

with the help of gear talk i am considering the opus,and s7

any input much appreciated

I don't know where you ski (EC, WC, PNW...) but if you're thinking the Opus, I imagine you've already considered the SFB? Why do you only look at the Opus, j/c?

I know there's alot of: I want a charger ski that I can mach groomers on crud on but then be able to butter off the pillow on a powder day requests out there (I'm one of them) but you really end up having to sacrifice somewhere. The trick is, where do you want to sacrifice. Lose a little play so you can mach? Lose some stability at mach 5+ so you can butter rollers? Gain some flex to charge crud with? Lose some flex to shralph park? What are you thinking in those sort of departments OP?

see thats the thing im looking for a ski that i dont have to loose any of those or they are all equal in quality.

i actually ride the pb&js also but they are my park/ all mountain spring ski . that isnt enough ski underfoot to charge but i do like that ski a lot.

the closest thing i have skied to what im looking for is the moment rocker from a few years back but its not wide enough underfoot and when when the snows ice it slips when trying to carve

so basically your looking for a stiff, yet playful, all mountain ski?

thats definitely a challenge, I think opus's or SFBs would be too soft to charge in chop, you might just need to use your jagsharks on stiff chop ski, and then get a more playful ski for other days

This confuses me? The PBJ is a relatively stiff ski? And ~100mm waist? Do you mean charge powder? Groomers?

I guess I'm just surprised that you would want more from the ski since it's recieved such great reviews. But personal preferences are king in ski selection so let's see if we can figure this out.

The other skis I would suggest are the:

Rossi Sickle - sort of a slightly wider, slightly stiffer (yet still playful) SFB.

Moment Bibby Pro - a wider and beefier version of the PB&J

Both these skis are review on Blister Gear Review, I'd head over there and give it a read to see if either of those two hit the mark closer.

Stay away from the s7, its too damn soft and tip hooky. I would check out the rocker2 115 (directional) or the opus.

if you got the money get some fully custom Seneca skis, its expensive but i hear its worth it if your ready to make such a investment, you should check out there web site
