K, so I'm doing a project for my thermodynamics class which is designing an indoor ski hill. There are several components that need to be considered in order for this thing to work.
1) Cooling system to maintain optimum temperature for minimum snow melt, as well as enabling optimum temperature for snow production
2) Snow Production system that would be able to cover the area (about 4900 sq. metres) in a minimal amount of time
3) Air circulation and humidification system to ensure fresh air and optimum humidity levels for snow production.
My call out to you guys is if anyone has access to websites, online information, journal articles or anything that might help in my analysis, could you post it here or email it to me at: bishopdm@gmail.com
I wish i could offer some sort of compensation for your efforts, but alas, as the starving student, all i have to offer is a thank you and the hope that these facilities would someday be built everywhere so support the need for those in hot climates, summer months, or those of you not close to any sort of mountain.
Take it on the run.
