Do I have fake line afterbangs?

I just bought some afterbangs off of getboards and it looked like a great deal but they just got here and they have a "made in china" print on the tail. I was wondering if this is normal and the skis are legit or if i should send them back for a refund. any thoughts? they are 2012 166's if that makes a difference.

The skis are 100% legit from what it sounds like. From what I understand, most of Line's manufacturing takes place in China.

Yeah they're fake, real Line skis are made in Sealand.

Lol yeah getboards is selling fake skis... No getboards is amazing. But you fucked your self by buying line after bangs. Have fun with 20 pound skis with paper this bases

I have waterlogged Afterbangs with salomon STH 12 drivers, heavy fucking skis with some heavy fucking bindings and together they weigh about 16lbs. 20lbs is a slight exageration

a) theyre probably not fake. lots of skis come from china.

b) for the price, afterbangs are a great ski. not good for carving or hitting big jumps, but still super playful and awesome for butters and presses, and good enough on rails too. in my opinion those are the most fun tricks anyways.

c) if you take care of them, they wont get waterlogged. if you leave them in the snow all day or dont wipe them off at the end of the day, they will. thats the price you pay for an otherwise tough ski.

d) just because something is made in china doesnt mean its bad quality. chinese factories are "cheap" but thats because they have cheap labor, not because their all made from recycled parts. the factories are built, operated, and overseen by the companies which own them (in this case its k2 sports) so the quality is entirely up to the discretion of the company. that wouldnt be any different if the factory was in germany or the US.

OP this is a solid piece of advice in a thread in a thread saturated with sh*te. As far as I am aware all of Line's skis are manufactured in China, so don't worry you do have legit A'bangs. As for the comments about water logging, @Round-Four is right, take care of them properly and they shouldn't water log badly, they are a wood sidewall ski and if treated badly they are susceptible to this. However proper care should avoid this issue.
