I know what you mean. At my home hill and most others this is not the case, but some hills are just full of assholes. I went to a hill earlier this week that I haven't been to in a while and it was filled with kids who were so damn negative all the time. I'm not sure if it was just the day I went or if they were trying to be funny but every time I would fall trying something new or even land something cool, I was immediately shouted at from the lift by some punk with something smart to say.
Either way, don't let it get you. When you see someone land something that you saw them working on, or even if they didn't land it for that matter, be encouraging and helpful because I guaranty that they will return the favor later. It's hard to be an asshole to someone who is nice to you so kill them with kindness and block out the ones who are still negative.I don't know about you, but I get just as stoked to see a kid pumped on sliding his first rail as learning something new myself. Overall, skiing's meant to be fun, isn't it?
