if they got lucky enough to beat the millionaires to it first. The main idea of the forest service is to own the majority of the forested land so that some rich fuck doesnt come in and buy millions of acres at once, closing it off to any sort of public use. Its the only way to keep these beautiful places for public use. its understandable if they are tearing down obvious smoke shacks. since its public use, how would the middle aged business man feel if his 5 year old son happened to walk into a shack cause he heard voices. Only to find a group of stoned hippies and tall tee wearers and not knowing why it was smoky and smelled like a dead skunk.

perhaps i was not clear. But lets assume the resorts did own the land. would it suddenly become acceptable to build structures on land owned by others?


i mean i can name ski resorts that sit on their own land. I dont believe they allow people to go around building stuff on the land THEY OWN.

Actually OP, it's folks like you who make the forest service police profile the shit out of me and pull me over under the assumption that I have 20lbs of ganj in the back of my subaru and clear out my car for no reason every other week while I have to sit in handcuffs for no reason.
