Salomon Rocker2 115 vs 122

So I really like both of these skis, but I'm on the fence as to which one would be the better option for me. I plan to demo them both, but I'm wondering what would be best. I'm about 5'10" 145, and I'm wondering if the 115 would be too much of a ski for me given my weight, because I do want something I can play with, like the 122. Also with my weight I'm wondering if the 122 could handle dropping cliffs to about 25 feet, or if it is too playful and on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm very aware of the differences of the skis but I can't seem to find a lot of people talking specifically about one ski relative to the other. It just seems like the 115 is a bit more locked in than maybe what I really need? Any advice from anyone who has skied either of these planks would be a huge help

Do you have any other skis or would this be your only pair?

Yeah I'm definitely not buying this as an all around ski, I have a pair of Moment PB&J's, Liberty LTE's and an old beater pair of Head Airheads for some god awful reason. But these would definitely be dedicated powder skis for places like Alta and Mammoth. Mammoth being where I ski the most... If that helps

122 super playful turny pow ski, 115 a more big mtn oriented ski, albeit friendly. It prefers a med to longer radius turn and is more stable in varied condition snow for sure.

this. however, they will both be good skis. just depends on whether you like to bomb steeps and go through shit, or whether you like to play around skiing more.
also, dont worry about the 122 being too soft. with your size, you wont overpower them, and there are definitely softer skis (old ep pros) that people have stomped bigger things on. just try to land solid and not on your toes off really big things

Cool! Thanks for some info I do appreciate it. I guess really my only apprehension was that the 122 I would overpower and the 115 wouldn't be quite nimble enough for me but it sounds like both aren't as extreme as I thought. Still can't wait to try them
All times are Eastern (-5)
