Cheap homemade alternative to banshee bungee?

does anybody know of a relatively cheap way to make something similar to a banshee bungee?

No idea, but I'd sure say to make sure your materials are strong and you avoid the ol' bungee-to-the-face trick.

i made one using surgical tubing (the brownish hollow stuff) by braiding 3 pieces together and tying it to a wakeboard handle. it worked decently well, but didnt pull as fast as a real banshee. also, it began cracking almost immediately from the cold, whereas banshee rubber is vulcanized and therefore much more durable.

ah i see is there any way to make it pull faster? like add more surgical tubes?

cracks started forming after 2 sessions so i stopped using it because i didnt want the thing to snap while i was holding one end of it. and i imagine more tubes or thicker gauge tubes would work better.
