Refinery explodes in Mexico

CIUDAD VICTORIA, Mexico -
Video captured by closed-circuit television shows the damage caused by an explosion at a natural gas pipeline distribution center in Mexico.

The explosion at the plant, which is near the border with the United States, happened on September 18, 2012 and left nearly 30 dead and more than 40 injured.

The fire forced evacuations of people in nearby ranches and homes.

At the time, company executives said there was a gas leak, followed by an explosion.

The exact cause had not yet been determined.

That's actually pretty fucked up. We literally just watched people die in that video. The man who runs across the street is no doubt killed by the fire ball, the oil tanker driver is gone. It's amazing how desensitized we all are.

idk, i am just sitting here on my laptop in europe and read a bazillion threads about the CT shooting. i click on this thread and here also 30 people died (although it was an accident, ok), and everyone is making fun of them.

I think what most of you don't realize, is most of those 30 people died probably trying to save the lives of their coworkers and villagers by shutting off the exploding and leaking gas lines.
And their family will get $10,000 for one of their parents dying from the company. Thats it
