Me and my friends first attempt at recording: Bluegrass
Me and a buddy started playing together about 2 weeks ago, and this is the first time we have recorded. The recording was done through my IPhone, so the quality isnt great, but if you could give me some input it would be greatly appreciated
Nice man. Gotta love the jam. I haven't played shit recently. My buddy just hit me up but everyone's far away atm and it's hard to meet up.
Keep your shit with you on the road at all times. The random jam sesh's you encounter are some of the best times ever. Maybe I'll jam with you somewhere at some point.
Nice to see somebody with a passion that isn't trying to rap or make dubstep. Had a very dead vibe to a couple of the riffs, not really the style, the style was more acoustic, folk, grass, ubt I def felt a dead vibe comin through.
Thanks man, and I completely agree it is the spontaneous jams with complete strangers that can be the funnest, because if you're always playing with the same person it is tough to grow your musical style.
and the jam was actually off of the chord progression from Jerry Garcia's Loser.
I started singing it at one point. It's nice to jam with the same people and get a feel for each other. Sometimes it works with strangers too. You just vibe it and know exactly where everyone else is going without saying anything and just flow through the changes.
When you have one of those jams that just works, best feeling ever.
I love just getting with a bunch of my friends getting a few beers and jamming. When you're with musicians that complement your playing style things just seem work. The vibe is always so sick.
I started playing when I was 13, and im 20 now, so 7 years. however I didnt really start getting seriously interested into playing music until about 3 years ago. If you just are persistent and play alot, the more you want to play. and the more you progress
that was really cool, wouldn't quite label it bluegrass like abortionator said. It was really cool, might've been a bit better if you had a fuller sound throughout the guitar solo, as just having the mando playing backup doesn't give it the sound it deserves.
Sick, dude! Loving the call and response riff. I'd love to dub some djembe or something of the like over it, but I left my mics and wire brushes at school. But considering that recording wasn't half bad I may add a little something something to it with my iPhone tomorrow of you don't mind. Really slick groove.
I might to post some stuff at some point. Only have a very small amount but it's still a decent amount. Just on reg cameras and phones for the most part. Did record some shit with mics once but idk whos got the files on their computer at this point.
fuck I just want to jam. Hopefully I'll have some loot to get my one djembe reskinned for next summer
(awesome friends destroyed my favorite one)
