Did anyone else hear the news that Line is no longer Independent? Well sort of any ways. They got bought by Karhu skis, the company who ownes the factory where Line's skis are made.

what do u consider independent? aren't they all independent really? i mean Armada is one of the top ski companies and it is pretty new, they are doing quite well.

independent means they are manufacturing their own skis for a certain purpose, i.e. a park ski, not just design a ski and make it, along with 20 other models i.e. salomon

I just consider an independent ski company to be one who's not owned by a larger corporation. Like Salomon with Adidas or whatever. That way the company is able to make desicions for itself and not in the interest of pleasing shareholders.
