my opinion is the best opinion, so listen..
If you just want a park ski, but a little wider, i wouldnt go over 100 waist, the blend, kung fujas or fat-ypus el toro is about the widest normal camber park ski id get. (i know these all have "rocker" but like 2mm of tip/tail rise is hardly a rockered ski, it still skis like a normal cambered ski but is a little less catchy)
if you are going to go wide, get something with big rocker, I bought bacons last year thinking they could be my one ski, skiied them in the park maybe 5 days and said fuck that. the wide tips/long length just makes them akward and get in the way, on rails and everything, its like you always have to be thinking about keeping your tips out of the way, it doesnt have the surfey rockered ski feel at all. again it just feels like a very large park ski, IMO its not fun.
ive skiied ep pro's, hellbents, and one lifes in the park, and all of them are wider, have tons of rocker, and were way more fun. the rocker basically gets rid of that akward tips catching on rails thing. makes them much more nimble for their size, i was doing 60 footers on ep's and their insanely soft flex and big rocker wasnt a big deal. having a flat underfoot, rocker tip and tail ski actually transforms how you can ski park. having a wide ass park ski doesnt, it just means you have a very large in the way park ski.
the thing with rocker and flat underfoot is, when you are just initiating a turn, or pivoting, the ski rotates and carves extremely easy, as you lean the ski over, you get more and more edge contact and you have more and more edge contact and your skis hook up really well and you can make super hard arching carves. that combined with the awesome kind of pop you get, the crazy butters, etc.. it makes it feel like your actually surfing the park. i learned switch 7's and 270's onto handrails on hellbents, rodeo's on my ep's. and felt too sketched out to do 270's onto handrails on my bacons if that tells you anything...
so sparknotes, dont get some lame super performance dual camber ski (only one id reccomend is the one life cause it still has big rocker) go with flat underfoot, and or big rocker.
and if you dont wanna go that wide, check out the one time. im trying to find a reason to get them this year.
