Just wondering what newschoolers thinks about skiers who arent good but have good style and steeze. Do you respect them for trying or do you just think they are trying to be something they aren't?

I have no idea what you are talking about. I respect somebody that skis for the fun of it and tries to improve.

I personally think I have better style than the tricks I can throw. I'm fine with that, especially because there is life outside the park.

this plus getting older, having financial responsibilities and not being able to afford insurance means il be steezing expect for those days when you are really skiing well and feeling it.

How old? I'm 25 and just getting into Park so I'm wondering how long I'll be able to toss my body around before it starts being too much.

I get mad when I'm filming at new mountains and I don't know many people. I see kids riding in saga and have a style that makes them look good. Then I film them on a flat box and they can barely slide it. Wasting my gigabytes dag nabit.

johnybuz, 25 also. i still hit pretty much all the rails @ bear mountain and do 3's 5's sometimes 7's up to switch 5 as well... but just take it easy.
honestly i have really been equally into ripping gs turns and doing them switch as well...
doesn't help i don't get to ski as often as i would like, been trying to work on that for 8 years, sigh.

I feel like as long as you have some basic tricks like kfed brittanys, maybe 5s and 7s, if you focus mainly on just making every single one of those few tricks you do look awesome, then that's still pretty legit

if you can do smooth 180 with some shift in it and stomp it, you're a relatively good park skier. good skier =/= good park skier necessarily
usually good style equates to good control, which meansyou're a good skier. depends on experience and the situation you're in

If you can't ski properly then you look like a retard. So no, you can't have good style.

I think a better thread would be average skiers (for their trick difficulty) with great style.
Someone like Jon Brogan, whose style made everything look dope as fuck, but really aren't fantastic in their bag of tricks. Another example would be Steve Stepp, Ahmet Dadali, Shea Flynn
Idk, maybe I'm just talking out of my ass, but I think there is definitely a category of skiers that are fairly good in talent, but have a style that makes them super popular. Hopefully someone understands where I'm coming from
