I've been asked to make a video advertisement for a local business and I would like to use part of an Arcade Fire song for a small section of it. I know there are a number of legal issues and I don't want to infringe on copyrights.
How have you guys dealt with advertising and phonographic rights? Is there issue if the video will only be hosted on youtube/vimeo? Have you been sued for $20,000 for using a song? Hah. I hope not. Thanks!
