Liberty Skis

People say they are bomb proof and ultra durable, I don't see it. They have a cap construction, and just the appearance makes them look cheaply made. I am open to hear reasons they are very durable.


I agree, sick graphics. I don't need responses like 'they are sick, buy them' I want to hear from people who have riden them. Are they stiff like the K2 PE's or Soft for butters and presses? How do they ski on the way to the park? Please give comparisons to other skis when giving examples to relate too.

A 3 year warrenty is great, but the best warrenty is one you never have to use.

The reason they are durable is for the materials they used. Even if you chip their skis up, which happens to all skis btw, doesnt show up, and the skis stay together. In terms of stiffness, theyre just in the middle, softer than the PE, and stiffer than a 1080 by far. Pretty close to an Ar5 almost.

As far as the to the park ability, dont let them not being race stiff reflect how they handle. I rode em on ice and hardpack all day, and i didnt have any problem whatsoever, in fact ive never ridden a ski with that much edge grip on the shit. The 3 year warranty is like a free pair of skis regardless. Theres no twin tip on the market that will last for 3 years of 100 day seasons. Why not get a ski that skis great, and have a company that backs their product so much that theyll give you a free pair after you beat them for 2 and a half seasons?

What about 4FRNT? As far as I'm concerned they ARE the most durable twin out there, and they've already proven it! Just look at the different materials they use, stuff nobody else uses, including Liberty. Liberty's materials are the same as what's been out there for years.

Ok, I rode the stealths last week, and they are nice. No, they are not race stiff - I can't lie. They are not.

What they are is light and strong, with good hold (like the guy above said). Nice wide underfoot for good rail work, and the 3 year warranty? I actually CALLED them on the phone and talked to some guy (Willard or something). Anyway, EVERY ski will break at some amount of force, but Liberty will replace them for free if you snap them.

I think that is a pretty good way to show support for the kid that saved up all summer for some skis. Bummed after he snaps a pair, bu psyched to know that they will replace them for free.

Anyway, I rode them, and I liked them. I need to find someone that has ridden the C-Notes, tough. those are rancid lookin skis.

The C-Note is crazy sick. As for questions on our construction, we are totally unique. The skis have sidewalls under the integrated cap. The cap keeps the sidewalls from chipping or cracking on falls and/or rails. The triaxel braid is similar to K2, whom uses Fiberglass. We use a simalar braid pattern but with Carbon Fiber. The result, better pop, response, camber, flex, strength, and minimizes unwanted weight.

I have heard the 4Frnt skis are very strong, but what you get in strength you pay for in weight.

Actually, 4FRNT's are incredibly light due to their PTex sidewalls. PTex is way lighter than any ABS or cap ski, it's also more durable. 4FRNT's are some of the lightest twins out...

4frnt ski are 2lbs a piece for the proven MSP and 1.75 lbs a piece for the steele. The 187 when held compared to the EP Pro is the same weight.
Plus you should not be comparing your skis to 4frnt, all comparisons should be made to the following companies(for they are lame and should not be purchased from):Salomon, Rossignal, Volkl, Elan, Salomon, Salomon, Atomic, and K2(k2 is NOT LAME but you may compare to because they have a larger scale client base.

^i beg to differ. don't get me wrong, 4frnt makes SOLID skis - those things can take a beating and are still perfectly fine, but they're pretty heavy compared to other similar skis (PEs, ARVs, pistols, pollards, etc). spinks is right - you get what you pay for in weight, which is to say you're paying for a really solid ski that you know will ski no matter what the conditions, but you're gonna get some extra weight for that security.

all of the companies are stepping it up this year. props to them.

did you just call 4frnts heavy?!?! they are the lightest skis out. if 1620 grams for a 177 ski is heavy, you must be smokin some crazy ass rocks. they use carbon too, and a sidewall under a cap is more material, which MUST weight more. im shure they are skick skis, and im shure they are lighter than 99% of the skis out, but to come out and call 4frnts heavy is pure stupidity.

The New Publics have a P-Tex topsheet, how do you think that will effect weight? they look pretty sick, but i liked the handdrawn graphics better.
