Binding (possible) problem.

I have Salomon STH Driver bindings and I just got them mounted dead center on a fresh new pair of skis.
The heel piece(s) seems a little loose, as in I can rattle it a tiny amount, should this be a problem? Is there anything I can do myself to maybe fix it if it is a problem?
Also, when they installed them, they didn't alter the DINs at all even though they asked for my weight when they installed them. I have never used them before so the DINs are still at the minimum setting.
Should I complain and maybe reap some compensation? Or what that just be a dick move.
Sorry for all the grammatical errors, I really have to poo.

When you say heel piece do you mean the part that connected to the track or the part that's connected to the actual skis via screws. If it's the heel piece connected to the track, it depends on how much it wiggles. If it's where the screws are...you might have a problem...one of the reasons I've stopped running STHs is because I've had several issues with pull outs in the heel of those bindings...so it's something to really get checked out.
Either way...it sounds like they should be going back the shop, you definitely want them to take a look at that DIN scenario. However, what STH are they? 12, 14, or 16? Cause depending on what you normally ride your DIN at and what the DIN range of the binding is...they may have left them at min cause you should be at the min or even lower based on the chart (something that's kinda a problem since you should never have your bindings at the min DIN).

They are the STH 12's and I weigh around 130, so having them at like 4 on all bindings is a little ridiculous.
Fortunately it is not the track that is loose, just the part that clips your heel into place. My friend who has the same bindings reports that he does not have the same problem.
Thanks for you help +k

Two pairs of my Salomons have a little play in the heels (997s and 916s) and they function fine.

Yeah, take them back to the shop and ask them why they didn't adjust the DIN...they should be able to fix that for you in a couple of minutes. And while you're there ask them about the play in the heel, it's most likely not an issue (some have play, some don't), but it doesn't hurt to ask about it.
