Why do advertisements in ski magazines suck so bad?

Seriously, they're boring, unoriginal, and sometimes just plain shitty. It's usually a pro with a crusty ass beard screaming with some b grade action shot and some dumb as fuck tagline that says. "life is better when our product is being used" or some other dumb shit that compares skiing to some other slightly more mainstream crap that might help people relate to skiing better, but probably won't.

But OP you're totally right, no idea how people can be paid to do such a shitty job. esp for skiing.. show some badass action shot or sequence, get a non-corny logo in there somewhere, and spare us the "lifestyle" shots and youre pretty much set

My question is how come print ads of a chick are all good, but when they're on the internet everyone is all "OMG ITS NSFW AND I CAN NEVER COME BACK TO NS EVER?"
Is it the quality of the girl, the situation you look at the internet, or that there's just a few people actually complaining?

In all fairness, people probably shouldn't be on NS while at work, or even school. I mean in college and stuff it doesn't really matter in terms of the ad content, I have no shame in seeing a FD girl ad and having it up when others are walking by or looking, probably wouldn't care as much in high school either, but there you might get in trouble.
