I'm not saying you're wrong. but it looks like maybe he tried to get deeply involved in the streets resulting in getting capped.
I find it extremely ironic that L was shot in the streets when he's putting out songs like All Black. He wrote some of the cockiest lines ever, it's really no surprise to me that he was shot.
