Im not really sure if I like how they are only doing one stop on the dew tour this year. Its gonna be ridiculous to watch cause all the riders are gonna be throwin down their biggest and best tricks, but I liked the uniqueness of having more of a tournament style. I am liking how they added a big air comp as well. lets hear what everyone else thinks.

it's not really a tour of sorts anymore, it's like they just combined 3 stops for different sports. it makes no sense

I bitched about this months ago but couldn't find the thread. I think it's a joke. They say it's bigger but all Alli is doing is cutting costs. Bad for skiing.

lets start a petition to change the name to dew stop.

I agree though, one stop makes it a higher stake comp which will just mean huckfest.
and its really unfortunate the east coast lost one of the biggest comps, it was always fun to go to killy/mt snow to see shit go down.

As of now I'd prefer the Dew Tour to have multiple stops, but I can definitely understand why some people might think it would be better off with one stop......only time will tell which one is better I suppose

has prize money changed? i'd be pretty bummed if i were wallisch/brown/goepper etc and prize money remained the same as it did "per stop" last year. they made a solid amount of money off that series over the past few years.

Superpro Emelia Wint was quoted in the Summit Daily saying prize money was upped and it's going to be the best dew tour stop ever. However, if there's one thing about pros talking to press; they never seem to have anything bad to say about anything.

I think its pretty dumb, doesn't matter of the "quality" of the event if almost all of us cannot make it there. So why not have some more events spread out that people have a better access too & be able to enjoy watching freestyle skiing on tv.. i mean other then the x game i see skiing on tv maybe once every two months...
Also, dew tour needs a summer stop at timberline.. just sayin :P

I wasn't sure how i felt about switching to 1 stop. But now i think its sick. The athletes get taken care of WAY better than before, it's not even comparable to previous years. The venue is INSANE this year. The prize money is bigger which helps the athletes a lot. And it's going to make for a better show now that everyone wants to win THE dew tour at one stop. Will be a sick show!

There still is a tour, now it just contains one skiing/snowboarding stop. There is a stop in the summer for surfing and one in the fall for skate/bmx. I agree it's shitty but maybe now all the pros will have more time to make super banger film segments

not only is there only one winter stop now, but all the skiing events are in the afternoon on thursday or friday, except like superpipe final on saturday or something. fucking bullshit

More importantly, I'd love to hear more about (and bias aside), how the East Coast got shafted for this event. I'll go out on a limb and say the crowds are larger here in New England.
