Im going to get mad hate for this, but snowboarding videos are much better edited than skiing edits and they are far more fun to watch. Also, I like the whole crew aspect of snowboarding and i think it would be cool if that started to take hold in skiing as well. Don't get me wrong, skiing is the best sport ever and i have tried both and skiing is way more fun than snowboarding.
i don't like how most snowboarders film rails with the camera really close to the ground so we see the base of the boards. that with fisheye really irks me. and sometimes they intentionally make the footage black and white or gritty.
i want to see more snowboard edits filmed like these, with blown up colors none other effects
The gritty 8 mm stuff is really only b-roll and i think thats cool, but it's not like that was only black and white, there was alot of good color in that, as for the fisheye, thats your opinion, I personally love it, but thats probably just me, coming from a skate backround
you're saying there isn't a crew aspect in skiing? would you mind explaining 4bi9, stept, nipwitz, skifi, etc?
snowboard edits are mostly done the exact same way as skateboard edits which is extremely annoying and relies on the "everything looks cooler through a fisheye lens" mentality.
dude seriously? Just scroll through the depths of Newschoolers and you will find that skiing edits are filmed and edited with basically the same vibe as snowboard edits and skate edits too. There's like honestly hardly a difference
There are crews, but 4bi9 And Stept are just production companies who film with the same people, find me someone who is a crew like and makes videos like Gremlinz, or Lick the Cat, if you know who those are
edits with both skiing and snowboarding are the best imo....especially with a tight crew of riders. you can really see how the snowboarders influence the skiers and vice versa
Snowboarders piss me off and everything. They think they run hills and they think they can do whatever. But putting that aside for a monent. That 270 at 2:44 is abolutley huge....just saying
you'll also find tons of edits that have a crew vibe and utilize way better filming and editing than the camera on the ground followcam that plagues snowboarding and skateboarding.
Every "crew" films and edits differently, but Im going to have to disagree with this. Skiing edits are very far from the skate feel. Some snowboard crews are closer than others.
