I mean, I like the way FT has taken the asthetics of Wallisch's pro boot beyond a "traditional ski boot" in the past (thinking about the red/white ones from 2 seasons ago), and they obviously tried to do that again here:

So if you don't like that look, then it's just you. It goes along with the whole mentality of wearing baggy clothes skiing though: the sloppier your outerwear is, the smoother your movements are supposed to seem. Not sure if that applies to boots though...

Wait, after rereading the op, are you talking about the 2012 (blue, last year's model) or the 2013 (the new one). You said 2012 but I just assumed you were talking about the new one. My bad
