Anthony Lakes- Killer sidecountry

Anyone ride there? Its a very small ski area in north east oregon in the Elkhorn range, very mom and pop feel. Only 900 vertical feet are lift served, but the base is at 7,100', so they get very dry snow and quite a bit of it. Really fun sidecountry ridge that I lapped on Saturday. Anyone skied gunsight, the peak just to the southeast of the ski area? Looks like some fun terrain

I have been wanting to take the drive out there for some time now, its a good 8 or 9 hours to get there though from portland area. You always hear about there being a ton of dry pow there, sounds like a good time.

It's actially only about 5 hours and totally worth it. Liftopia has great deals on tickets and Baker City is pretty cheap for lodging.... just sayin.

Anthony Lakes is siiiick! That's my old stomping grounds. If you're adventurous, there's tons of accessible (but remote) BC in the Blue Mountains. I've never skied Gunsight before, but I can't wait to get back out there and do it.
