So...who's ski season hasn't really started yet?

I guess I'm luckier than some people on here, as I did get one day of skiing in at Killington over Thanksgiving break. And an early season rail jam.

But I go to school in Western NY... and there seems to be no hope coming through yet for an opening day.

Right when we thought we were a few days away... it gets to be 65 degrees.

And then one day it's 35, the next day it's 48 and raining. Seems like we can't win.

I NEED SKIING... I know the West Coast is going strong, I heard mountains in the Midwest are open, most mountains in the Northeast seem to be going well...

Who's in the same boat?

Nothing, it rained today and next weekend which is usually opening day isn't going to happen this year. It's going to go up to 50 this week, with temps in the low 40's this weekend.

mine wont start for atleast 2 more weeks. I just cant justify driving 8 hours roundtrip and dropping $300+ to ski shit snow. id rather save up money for later in the season when conditions are better.

I work at a ski area, we have 0 snow and planned to open this weekend, but that is being pushed back too next weekend. The east coast is in major trouble, not gonna be an ice coast bought to have a green coast.

My mountain (Gore) has been open the past three weekends or so. All man made of course. I'm not really sure how much of this weather they can take though. The little mountain by my house (Woods Valley) has been trying so hard to get open, but it's just not going well.

My home hill was open (if 3 runs counts as open) last weekend but closed now. Hopefully they'll be back open this weekend, I haven't gotten to ski yet and it looks like snowmaking is a go tuesday-friday. A hill 30 minutes farther than my home hill has been open consistently for like 10 days with a decent amount of park features but I don't feel like shelling out for lift tickets when I already have a pass somewhere else.

yeah, climate change is definitly the reason why we don't have snow before winter even officially starts. Like fuck

We already are having a better winter then last season so that point is invalid.

And why the fuck would you hope for a hill to go bankrupt?

Ehh, this winter defiantly isnt "better" than last. I know last year our hills opened dec.10 for the season. They opened last week for 3 days and now they are close again, and it doesnt look like they will open any time soon to be honest. Were having lows of 33 and 35

idk, i guess it varies where you live. hills in my area opened 3 weeks earlier then last year and put up decent park setups too. Last year i didn't ski till boxing day cause it wasn't worth the drive to go anywhere.

I've skied 15 days and there's a snow storm atm, there's gonna be 1 foot of snow waiting to be shred tomorrow. suckkk it haha but im just too stoked sorry guys
