Nurse who took prank call from Australian DJ's claiming to be royalty committed suicide.

I'm surprised nobody else made a thread about it, if there is one let me know, which is why I waited to see if one popped up.
The story is 2 australian DJ's made a prank call pretending to be prince Charles and the queen, and called up the hospital that Kate Middleton is at(google it if you don't know the story), (it's a pretty funny call if you haven't heard it(regardless of what happened after(I heard it before the death.))) and the nurse puts them through,(although its hardly like you can say fuck off I don't believe you're the queen) and they then get info on how Kate Middleton is.
A couple days later the nurse who accepted the call was found dead. It was later reported she committed suicide, and now the australian DJ's have been suspended, which I don't feel is fair, no matter how sad it is, they didn't do anything, it was a joke.

I thought this might be a possibility, which is why I'm still wondering if its a suicide, it's very unlikely, but possible.

My company has an office in London, talked to them over there on Friday and everyone says its pretty obviously she was murdered by the royal family. Just my take

Are we really blaming the DJ's right now? I mean cmon, dont try and pretend anyone in this thread has never prank called, or pulled some kind of a joke on anyone. Its sad, and thoughts to her family, but blaming the DJ's is absurd IMO. Hell they didnt even expect to get put through, they figured it would just be funny getting hung up on.

To some this would seem like a very harmless prank. To others they may think it wasn't harmless at all because it ended with the loss of a life. A few things everyone is overlooking is 1. It happened to Royalty. 2. There is such a thing as HIPAA no matter what part of the country you are from. 3. I think the nurse felt she was in a no win situation . Because if it was actually the queen and she didn't put her through then there would be ramifications as to her not doing so. Also the prank could have been what we call " the straw that broke the camels back." So to speak. No one knows what was going on in her life. And that prank could have been the last draw. It reminds me of what I was raised to remember and that is : Treat others as you would want them to treat you."
My prayers and Best wishes go out to this family in this very sad situation and also to the Queen and her family as well. May God be with you all.

I think this a very sad situation for all those involved.
To some it may seem like a very harmless prank while to others it may seem like it went to the extreme cause it ended with the loss of a life. What some of you guys are over looking is that it HAPPENED TO ROYALTY. AND THAT THERE IS SUCH A THING AS HIPAA NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE AT IN THE COUNTRY.
The nurse could have felt like she had to choice than to put the call through. Because if it had been the REAL QUEEN there would be a lot of ramifications to her if she had not put the call through.
It reminds me of when I was growing up and was taught " treat others how you want to be treated."
My heart, my prayers, and best wishes go out to this family and all those who are involved. May god be with each and everyone of you during this sad time.

My thoughts exactly. Some people just like to blame other people for their problems, its too bad because those people should get a sense of humor and stop ruining the world for everyone else, in other words those people need to man the fuck up.
