I've tried to do my research on the differences between the Griffons and the Z12 Tis and they seem to be pretty solid competitors. I know NS doesn't always think the most of the Griffons, but I thought I should ask for advice anyway.
For background: I'm 6'1", 210 lbs, ski 70% park, 20% east coast trees, and 10% all mountain. I'm currently riding last year's AR7's and am very happy with the skis, so I expect to be on those for the next few seasons at least.
I currently have some older (~2008ish?) Z12 TIs on the AR7s, but I've had some troubles with binding reliability several times over the past few seasons, so I'm hoping to upgrade to a more reliable binding.
The specs seem to indicate that the Z12s are lighter and easier to use, but the Griffons have better shock absorption/more durable construction.
For anyone who has experience with either of these bindings (especially with AR7s or similar skis), do you have any advice one way or another? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks a lot NS
