Hey, I have a question for all you guys who tune your own skis/work in a shop.
My skis came from the factory with a 1.5 degree side edge bevel (I've been riding them for a while but haven't tuned them yet). I'd like to sharpen them, but my bevel guide is for a 2 degree side bevel and it seems like adding the half-degree of side edge bevel will require removing a bit of sidewall.
I assume I won't need a "sidewall cutter" or anything other than a file to do this (I've also got a diamond stone and gummy stone for tuning after I've set the edge bevel) since it's only half a degree, but I was just wondering if there was anything else I should do/any advice on increasing the edge bevel angle.
Idk if anyone can help me on here, since a lot of you guys don't use edges :p
