My friends and I are planning a road trip to wisconsin and the upper peninsula in mid-February and we were wondering where we should ski. We would have some gapers with us so we're mainly looking at all mountain skiing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes. None of the slopes are groomed, and there will only be 1 lift working till about mid Jan. it is a super local place. Marquette is pretty dope from what i hear. Pretty good vertical, and long runs. Bohemia gets a lot of snow and its dope if you are a good skier, but its defiantly not for begginers.

If you want an all around good place for all skill levels, I would go to Marquette mtn.

Ive never skiied any of them but ive heard the resorts around ironwood are fun, get alot of snow, and usually arnt too busy. Theres 3-4 hills right around that area along the michigan wisconsin border.

Yeah Marquette is rad, something for everyone. I would avoid Boheem this year, I major piece of equipment broke on the main chairlift and it won't be up and running until February. Kept me from buying a pass

Just looked online, the website says it should be back up in late january. We're planning on leaving for our trip in late february so that shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the help though guys. We're from Indiana though. Would we be better off drving out west or east, rather than heading to the upper peninsula? We're concerned about cost

Well if cost is your concern, then the mid west is pretty cheap. However, if you want to spend a little more, drive out to WV, Vermont, or 7springs. I hear its pretty fun over there (despite their icey conditions).
