Giving homeless guys on the street money.

theres this dude who is always at on-ramp that i use. We have stop lights alternate setup on our on-ramps. Hes got this little tiny black dog and it was wearing a little yellow raincoat this time. Picture how cute that dog is. I gave him some dog dog treats beause it was raining and the dog looked miserable.

Now sense i dont care about the homeless guy ive got this sweet idea. Im gonna give him a bunch of money from the carribean my brother gave me. I think it sounds pretty funny and in good holiday spirit.

I gave Dennis the bum where I live a JBC once and he told me how he invented the cellphone and that the internet is slowly brainwashing us all. Then he proceeded to tell us thanks for the food and we went our seperate ways.

A lot of these "homeless" people are just scammers trying to get money to pay for their drugs and/or alcohol. That's why I don't give them money.

STORY: I was in NY City last summer and walking down the street, and there's this homeless person saying, "Change? Spark Change?" and this guy dip walking in Asics in front of me stops and says, "Change?! You want change?!? Take a shower and get a job, that'd be change!!" I felt really bad for the person but he is right.

I will never give homeless people money again...
One day i was skateboarding in the city with some friends, and a bum comes up and says "please could i get some money i really need a drink" (we were in front of a BK) so i give him a dollar and he starts walking the other way and yells "Yeah, i can buy a cigarette with this!!" me:

the only time I'll ever give a bum money is if they're straight up with me. they come up and ask me for money so they can catch the bus, get something to eat, etc. i always call them out on bullshit and say what you really trying to buy...a bottle? a rock? and if they're straight up, i might throw them a buck or two. if i'm feeling generous. but if you're gonna lie to me, then go to hell.

i'll almost always give me restaurant left overs to a homeless person when i'm in a major city.....

I mean you're judging the dude and you're giving him money that he's not going to exchange. What do you do with most of your money spend it on weed and alcohol how is it any different.

I've had some pretty sketchy experiences with homeless people and sometimes even if you offer then food they'll just be assholes, and they're all pretty unpredictable cause half of em are schizophrenic. But I'll spare them a buck or two if I've got loose change.

Giving money, food, or anything really to somebody directly on the street only exacerbates the problem for them, and for the problem in general. I suppose they are offering a service to make people feel good about themselves, but just keep in mind that little something is only going to hurt in the long run.

if the dude has a funny sign or a dog ill usually shell out a bit if i have change, other than that its pretty easy to tell who is genuinely homeless from panhandlers and crack heads if you grew up in a city. i do have sympathy, but you cant give change to everyone

when i was helping a friend with renovating a house for someone, making 10 bucks an hour, but was super busy and trying to find someone to replace me, i told a bum asking for money, i had 60+ hours of work making 10 dollars an hour if you want it, he just said no and asked for my change, of course i didnt give him shit.
but yeah, i never give homeless guys money, its feeding their shitty habit.

In Salt Lake City the homeless shelter down town looks like a post apocalyptic zombie fest. Dont slow your car or the hoard will approach you. I get seriously freaked out driving down there.

After coming out of a hockey game here in detroit, the amount of homeless people is insane, As my dad always told me never give them money. But if you have the chance to buy them food, drink always.

I was in line at a club one night, when this homeless guy approached the line and asked for money. Everyone ignored him, he then started talking about he is a veteran and all that, I had a little cash on me and I told him I don't have money, sorry so he would go bother someone else. He got all pissed off and told me how I was lying and then he said "come on man, I just spent all my money getting drunk at the bar just give me a couple bucks." Then I called him out and said that is exactly why I'm not giving you any money, you're just going to go drink more with it. He got pissed off then walked away. Thought he was going to jump me or something.

At the grocery store on front of my house there was always sittibg this homeless woman, and with always i mean all day err day. Just sitting there not doing anything fun or tricks, just sitting on a chair looking gurmphy and selling papers, once gave her money and she didnt eveb thanked me. I was like fuck you! Its not my fault you have no One that loves you and no home!! I hate them ever since.. im drunk btw

again, im still giving him money. If he is too lazy to get it converted thats his own fault. its not like its 1000 pesos in a shit filled box. Its probably like $40. And i gave his dog food so dont try an pretend im a complete piece of shit. When was the last time you went out of your way to buy a bum or his dog food?

No cause a couple of years ago, I was walking and a man asked me a dollar telling me he needed it cause he didn't have any money and needed to call his wife so I gave it to him. He then asked if I could sell him a cig with that dollar.....
