I just got a Bower 8mm fisheye and was wondering if its possible to get a clear filter for it?... I've looked around and i haven't found any... do they even make them?...
no. there is an attachment you can buy for some glass-protruding lenses to hold filters, but i dont think there is one for that lens. just dont worry about it, you dont need one
If this UV filter is for protecting the lens then i wouldn't do it, i would just keep the lens cap on up until 5 seconds before you snap the pic then put it back on. if youre filming upclose skiing/skateboarding then this investment may be short-lived.
Take care and keep both eyes open because the distance from a fisheye is deceiving through the viewfinder. (if you're gunna hold it away from your face... well then.... dont listen to me)
