does anyone else get immense pleasure out of winning ebay auctions at the last second and thereby e-robbing someone of something they really wanted? i almost feel like emailing the loser and talking shit sometimes, but i don't. i did have one person call me an asshole though. it was quite gratifying

the person that called you an asshole migth have been me, i think i did that once. and yeah, i love winning at the last second and beating someone for their shit. i also hate losing at the last second more than anything

Economically speaking it really shouldnt make a difference. Its fair, somebody wins because their reserve price is the highest, they are willing to pay the most, its called a competitive market.

''sniping'' (which i have been told has now been made a legitimate term in webster's dictionary) is when you outbid someone in the closing seconds of an auction.

i always check the peoples' feedback who i'm bidding against, because then you can see if they're all about the thing that's up for bid or if they're just a casual bidder. like i just sniped this dude of his burton uninc stickers, and i was looking through his feedback, and he had EVERY uninc sticker that had come up on ebay in the last month (he'd won like 10 different auctions just for uninc stickers). but he didn't get these ones, cuz i sniped that motherfucker

haha. one time, like a week ago, i had like an hour until the auction ended. i waited online the whole time. i went around ebay lookin at the other peoples feedback and the seller. i checked out paypal and other shit. it was funny. also, sometimes, when i dont win the thing i want after like a day of wanting it, i just bid really high, and usually over my other maximum. im addicted to it.
