yeah i broke both thumbs junior year in hs..got em jammed in another dudes facemask and snapped em..splint and tape em..its annoying tho..i never realized how important my thumbs were until that happened

ive broken mine about 4 or five times. i have both right and left splints so i dont even go to the doctor anymore. just wear a splint until its healed.

i broke my thumb on one of the first days of my season in whistler i just went no poles for a while, which sucked in the pow but had to be done i was back on poles in a week but then i hurt it again and had to go off poles for a few more days it was sore and stiff all season but it healed fine i also skied 5-6 days a week that season so the thumb got little love and was still fine

I assume you mean Skier's Thumb, and, yes, I've had it like 4 or 5 times now. Fortunately, I've never actually torn the ligament; I've always just had an avulsion fracture. .

Broke my right thumb two years ago and I've had so many problems with it since then. Re-broke it twice, the last time tearing a ligament and breaking another bone in my hand, wore a cast for a while, wore splints for a while.. Still don't have total movement in it.

Good thing I'm left handed.

Yeah, once on the left, once on the right. Both of them were retarded too. First time I cought an edge after landing a jump and just fell softly, but still put my hand out and snapped the fucker.

Second time I knuckled a jump on a slow day and the force made my hand slam onto the knuckle, cracking the bone.

I'm pretty sure I broke mine when I was in high school. I just skied without poles for a month or so..and actually got a bit better because I had to focus on my balance more without them.

Slashed in hockey during our game on Wednesday. I'll be out of hockey for 4 weeks, out of skiing for 0 days. Fuck yeah.

shattered my growth plate in my right thumb and my right wrist and snapped my right arm in half all within 3 years. everything was back to normal shortly after cast came off

no but i cut the skin in between my thumb and index finger trying to make an apple pipe. i was bleeding pretty bad but i just put toilet paper around it, smoked, and gamed till my mom got home and took me to the hospital. then the doc put 4 stitches in me
