Replying to Unreleased First Music Video, Need your help Please Critique!
Hey Guys,I produced a music video for a Seattle rapper the other night. I have never done one before and I would love some general critiques to make it better. Here is the situation, the song is the 60 second intro to the album. It will be released prior to the album release I assume to garner a little hype. I am not a huge fan of the song myself, but the artist has a very large following in Seattle and Portland. I am going to try and explain this idea best I can, so bare with me.
What the artist wanted was a split video of himself rapping after a show in a hotel room in his musician persona which is usually all white. On the other side he wanted to have his regular self looking for the music he is hearing in his head of "himself." He eventually finds "himself" at the end of the video, if that makes sense at all.
There were a few issues I had during the shoot they are listed below:
- Extremely low lighting in some places, had to go all the way up to 8000 ISO to get enough light into the shot.
- Even though the hotel was one of the nicer ones in Seattle it did not really fit the rap persona.
- The last shot I am having exposure issues because it goes from light to very dark, any ideas?
Again, I have never done this before so lay it on me. The password is spac3man
