I respect the fact that youve been a member for 9 years but most of your posts make it seem like you have no clue what's currently happening in the ski industry.
nah im just trollin, i find it incredible the amount of time most uhh nsers spend following the latest, its as if skiing is your life. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Voleurz was sick, but be honest everybody, did you actually buy anything from them?
I have two IF3 hoodies because they were part of the package deal, I've always wanted to get my hands on more of their clothes, but the sizing was too weird to buy online, and it was always really expensive in retail stores.
I hope other film companies can pick up the slack. It's a shame the movies won't be made anymore.
I never bought anything from them due to the fact that their shit was so goddamn expensive. and a candadian based company as well so the shipping was another 10 or so dollars. by that point i'm pay 40 some odd dollars for shirt! Even it looks like the cats pajamas no way in hell will i pay that for shirt. I mean I drop a pretty penny of like 20 dollars occasionally on some jiberish tees but not even close to that level.
yea, I really like there stuff, and them as a company, I could just never justify dropping that kind of money on a shirt or a hoodie
I do have a hoodie from them, but I got it on here for a reasonable price. It's a really nice hoodie though
Yeah, I mean I would've boughten their movies if they sold them. Goodness, if I knew they were hurting for money I would've gladly donated some money or something. Its rough to see a company go like that.
What they should do is just keep the company going in regards to filming and sell their films just to keep going with something.
You make it seem like the size of the industry was the downfall of the company.
I don't believe it was. I think the expensive clothing, free movies(which were awesome) and poor marketing is what screwed them over.
I realize we don't agree on most things and i'm not trying to start an argument, just stating that smaller companies like Voleurz can exist in our industry, they just need to be run more efficiently.
Note: Im not critizing Voleurz directly, just using them as an example.
So by looks of it, its looking like no more films are going to be coming out in the near future? I don't understand why you guys didn't charge a little for you movies and make at least some monetary gain out of it. Like 3 or so dollars is cheap enough I think everyone would've chipped in.
Its better then nothing? Am I wrong for thinking that? I mean it may not save the company but goodness, I don't want to see their movies dry out. I thoroughly enjoyed those sometimes more than some of the movies I payed for.
I bet most of them are ready to move on to other projects, 9 years is a long time. If you're still not turning a profit its hard to rationalize it anymore. I assume most of the senior members of the company are pushing 30, priorities change I guess.
Here in bc they are pretty big. Every board shop in the area sells voleurz and like so many kids have it here. Kids who don't ski snowboard or skateboard have it.
pretty sad to see them go. i feel like they were one of the few ski-related companies that had that kind of fun attitude. and their movies were my Favorite to watch every year because of that vibe.
