Hey guys,
I own a pair of technica ski boots that I had a boot fitter spend some quality time with me to make sure everything about the boot was perfect before I bought them. The first season I had them everything felt great, zero Toe Bang and I was just having a great time. I stored them for the winter and took them out last week for a weekend of skiing.
The boots felt great again just as I suspected on groomers, in between the trees and on rails, boxes and other park features. But when I was hitting even small jumps or little drops I was getting enough Toe Bang to cause discomfort. I don't think I've worn the boots enough times to wear out the liner in the boot because everything still looks pretty brand new minues a few cosmetic scratches.
If the boot fit perfect the season before and I never experienced Toe Bang why am I all of a sudden experiencing it now?
