Is anybody else still not skiing?

i know ski season has started for most people here on newschoolers. but, my home hill is set to open the 14th. sadly i live in ohio so theres no mountains near. anybody else still waiting to ski? just wondering who else is still stuck on newschoolers instead of being able to ski

I'm pretty sure my hill opened the day before christmas last year, and that was probably because they wanted to open for the 2011-2012 season, not the 2012 season. They're looking to be on the track again.

It was like 65 degrees today,, gonna be 69 tomorrow. If I was home I would have surfed. Apparently the waves were clean too...

home "mountain" usaully mid december. weather depending, and a 3+hour drive i might get my first day friday. 13°C at night isn't helping either.

Probably awhile till the southern PA mountains open, I got 5 days straight in at killington over thanksgiving and havnt skied since. I'm trying to head up to big boulder this weekend though

Yeah I'm also from ohio, so it's been somewhat painful and why the hell is it so hot today?

But, took a trip to seven springs last weekend and I leave next Thursday for Vermont, so I've got a little to appease me until they open up here.

I still have not been skiing :(   My home mountain opened for the weekend, but was forced to close due to raising temperatures.  Sadly, I couldn't even go to that due to college things.  Oh well, in a week I'll have a month and a half to ski all I want.

so I guess the verdict is: NY is not doing too hot, NJ is TOO hot, and Ohio just blows cones. MN is getting colder, so I have nothing to complain about! We had a scare the last couple days though.

we need at least 6 more inches, and the forecast is currently dry dry dry. and COLD. too cold for the hills to open even if there was enough snow. maybe you guys in ohio can trade us about 40 degrees. we could use a good spell of zero degree weather to warm things up!

Got 2 ski days but now i cant ski for like a month... but yeah usually my hill doesnt open until like 1 or 2 weeks b4 xmas, this year i just got a ski day in at killy thr opening weekend. and got some rope tow laps at this shithole called woodbury ski area in CT. they open super early every year they give you shovels to make ur own features. it was mainly boarders but it was a good time with nice vibes
