Hey I rode this weekend and it was raining so of course I was riding on some dirt. There is some dirt and like grains stuck in the bottom of my skis. I was just wondering if anyone knows of some good temperary waxing that works good. Or should I just rock the wax and Maybe take it into the shop and get her rewaxed?
heres a tip, dont ski in the dirt and rocks, unless they are park skis, then just spray with some cooking oil (mom has some in the pantry) you'll slide nice
if youre really cheap like me all you need is an old clothes iron (because they don't have holes, mine is like 30 years old and probably a really bad fire hazard at this point), wax, a scraper (i use a metal scraper thats also pretty old but i highly suggest getting a plastic one), and a brush, although to me that is the one item that is somewhat optional, i dont use one. and if you do use an old clothes iron make sure it is turned all the way down. its made for damp clothes, not ski bases.
