I have a low budget for skis and in my local shop its going for my target price and its brand new so is it any good?

Whats your price range? Also how much is your shop asking for them? Ledges are great skis, the full vertical side wall and tough box construction make them pretty bomb proof and the tip and tail rocker make them a lot more playful than the wall. If theyre last years or they have this years at a discount then Id say go for it, you wont be disappointed.

I had the 08 or 09 ones a few years back. Fun skis in the park, they are really soft though so keep that in mind. I put them through a lot out of park, IE maching double diamonds in whistler. Definitely not the ideal environment, and quite frankly they were scary on anything past 35 degrees. If your looking for a sick jib ski to progress in the park though these are your ticket. Volkl's are built like tanks so they should last you a while.

because the 08/09 model is the same as the 12/13. and he's also the exact same size and skier type as you are.

Check out the step. Its the same as the ledge but has carbon stringers in it.
Considering the offer you got though I would go for the ledge now but if you don't get the deal in time go with the step.
