Well, the Powder Awards are going to suck this year.

It is moving to Park City and the awards are on the opening night of Sundance.

The beauty of the awards in Aspen during XGames is that a lot of people already had an excuse to be there. There isn't any reason to be in Utah at that time and prices are going to be jacked up on everything because of the film festival. No way their will be as many drunken industry folks as usual doing stupid stuff.

That's the best fucking part.

Yep doing a movie awards party at one of the biggest film festivals in the world is an awful idea. #sarcasm Thanks Powder for taking skiing and everything we love to more eyes. Maybe it will bring more $$ to the industry from outside sponsors who have not witnessed what is happening in skiing.

Well that sucks. Although the best party I've ever been to was at sundance last year, but still you're leaving aspen during the x-games/SIA???

Interesting move? True that many atheltes are in Colorado for X-Games, but maybe they felt like they were not gettting enough attention out there. Moving it to PC might be a good choice? It will likely add some diversity to the festival.

The Powder Awards were always BIG fun in Las Vegas.  They were BIG fun in Aspen.  And I'm sure they'd be fun in Driggs, ID.  Park City????  Powder will make it a memorable night and BIG fun will be had by all.  Sundance and POW?  Why not?

Well of course you can be there if you want to. What about when they name off the top 10 males? The top 5 or 10 females? The big awards? How many people won't be there to accept awards compared to aspen during Xgames. Sponsors are going to try to get shoe in candidates there but that's not everyone.
