They have A LOT of lift and are rediculously heavy. But if you think about it it makes sense..you are only moving the ski from the middle.. so you're just not gonna have the same kind of control.

no, i havent skied them, but what did anyone notice the big 'MAY'? it would make sense that these would not input quite as much energy throught he ski, becasue the mounting area is so smal. however, they do contact the ski under the entire plate, so they still work fine. like i said, there MAY be a small loss in responsiveness, but you wouldnt notice unless you were on full race gear. most of boots are two soft to get the kind of response racers like, so you arnt used to it anyway.

kinda early to be asking about how the new reactors are on big mountain stuff as most hill are just opening for the season. but as far they ski very differently than you're used to because you turn from the middle of your boot instead of the toe and heel. this may make them feel sluggish at first, but once you get used to it, the binding feels very solid under foot. who ever said they're heavy is dead wrong. they're only about 8 grams heavier than look pivots. barely noticeable when mounted. they're an awesome binding and will prove themselves over time.

I own and ski on them and their is no lose of response because even tho they are connected at the middle when you screw them in the whole binding is tuching the ski so you are not really turning from the middle but all of the binding. they are great bindings!

I like how all of you are responding pretending to have any fucking clue what youre talking about when you havent even skied them. Thats like doing a car review for a car you have never driven...

if I end up on the moships, I will probably just use a traditional setup, since I do race (as mentioned above i MAY (hehe) notice, and as far as it being too soon to ask? no way, they did have a short run of them two yrs ago b4 the factory screwed them....

anyhoo, thanks dudes, it really is a park binding, and from everything I have heard about them, should probably be left on those appripriate skis.

i had the same fears you did about the binding on my motherships so i went with the P14 instead of the reactors

i've had reactors for 2 full seasons, and even though it's east coast, i haven't noticed any 'loss of ski control'. that's absolute bullshit. they're attached w/ 4 screws, they can't move if you bolt them down right.

yeah, reactors would actually be better on a wide ski than a skinny one, cause they would provide a little more leverage to the edges. and geeze people, chill out. i think they are sweet bindings, and rock them in a sec if i had lines. im just saying its impossible for a ski mounted at the center to provide quite as much energy transmission. would anyone notice it? no. but its just basic pyhsics, while frnt to back and edge to edge may not be an issue, as those are vertical forces, a twisting input would definatly not effecient. now, like i sad, this isnt a problem, as nobody would probably notice it, but you guys were buggin out, so i just needed to explain my reasoning.

dude, if they are makeing prophets with the inserts for the reactor bindings, then they better be confident that the binding will do well on big mountain stuff.

my only reason i did get it is, was i wanted a 14 din binding on my ski for big pow days. but thats not to say its a bad big mt binding.
