According to this video it takes the amount of pressure from 50 elephants on a square inch of peanut butter to convert. For newschoolers' sake and my lack of elephants i say we keep it in terms of eheaths

yes, because I'm sure mythbusters had the resources available to test this.

it is in fact very much true. with some effort you can transform mostly anything carbon based into diamond. there are even companies that will turn your dead loved one into a diamond for a nominal fee

this is true. I watched a movie about diamonds in my material science class this year not to long ago and they mentioned this and showed it happen. Its just very difficult to do and get a good diamond from doing it.

yeah man and afiak pretty much everything in the world is carbon based. the diamond industry is the very definition of a racket. diamonds are not rare at all its just certain big companies (de beers?) buy and control the supply. add in some agressive marketing making every fucking chick in the world want one of those rare rox from a man. bam, super expensive diamonds
