When i ski switch i tend to look over my right shoulder and i want to start hitting jumps switch more. One problem, i spin to the left. I try skiing switch while looking over my left shoulder but i always feel like im gonna eat shit. Any suggestions?
i spin left and look over my right shoulder. solution is be a man and spin right going switch which will make you learn to spin right going forward and then you learn to look over the other shoulder then BAM you can spin all 4 ways
when I was learning how to ski switch I was the same. In fact, I was doing switch 5's before realizing I was spinning my opposite way due to looking over the wrong shoulder going into the jump. Even now when I'm straight lining something switch I still look over my right shoulder because it feels more comfortable.
Every time you learn something new it's going to feel unnatural at first. Just force yourself to look over your other shoulder. When you're carving switch down a groomer you should be alternating from looking over your left shoulder and right each turn anyways.
and for me when i drop in to a jump that i want to hit switch i hop a 180 to the right which ends up with me looking over my left shoulder so i can spin left. idk if that helps
