18 and getting a job delivering papers...

possibly, one of the main reason im trying to get a job is so i can stay home for christmas and party with friends instead of going to palm springs with my family. I know its cold hearted but im not to fond of my family.

making 225$ every 2 weeks is not worth delivering papers in the morning just to stay away from my fam for 10 days. is it?

man, in a few years if you end up going to college you're going to be wishing you could go on more vacations to warm places with your family.

Im 20 and dislike going to my moms relatives for thanksgiving, but i do anyways or else i would be shunned. No one is around my age, its sucks.

Funny, my moms parents have a house in palm springs for the winter months. Its cool there, i just chill by the shared pool and hike in the mountains. There are street fairs every Thursday which are pretty fun too.

Why are you honestly debating this? partying with your friends is fun and all, but this is your damn family. I'm sure your parents want you to come, but they also want you to be happy, so that is why they are giving you the choice. You will regret not going in a few years when you go off to college and get swamped by work or someone close dies (it will happen, trust me). And ITS FUCKING FLORIDA. How bad can it possibly be?

Eh, I don't blame you. I don't do much holiday stuff anymore.

I used to always go to family holiday stuff while my grandma was alive. And kind of thought my cousins were dicks for never coming up to her place. Now she is gone its the reverse THanksgiving is at my Uncles 300 miles away from home and I don't go. I mean I am not going to fly from the west coast to not even be home for Thanksgiving since obviously my friends and stuff aren't near my uncles. So basically I'll never have a normal THanksgiving again (I am sure I will go there one year.) Oh well. The option of having it at home in Boston doesn't exist I can't go to THansgiving eve get togethers to see friends from home and wake up to Turkey in my house hungover the next morning so fuck that.

Christmas it depends I might go back for it in the future depending on if I feel like it.
