I love mine. they're bomber, and pretty stiff, but it's a smooth, powerful flex pattern. I love the way they ski, stable on jumps, but still good on rails. I'd go for it.
A buddy of mine has a pair and they are a really nice looking ski. Never skied on them though so I couldn't tell you about the ride. They feel like they have a nice medium-stiff flex, closer to the medium side of things. They hold up really well for him though and he's a 200lb guy so that speaks volumes for their durability. Good Luck!
Ordered the 2012 for $275 shipped from backcountry.com! Pretty pumped to try them... They also said I can return them at any point if I don't like them!!!
I have had the last 4 models and loved them all. But anyone else have issues with tips delaming. I have had t-nut at least one tip on each pair of skis. My new ones started to delam after 4 days. Easy fix and still love the skis, just wish they would fix this issue at the factory.
I personally don't like the frees but that's just me. You can get good deals on Griffons from pretty much anywhere. FKS are sick snappers as well. Check em out!
The wall is the shit, very stable ski. mount marker griffons on there or if you have the money jesters. volkl and marker go together like pees and carrots.
If your Marker 12s are in good condition and your a lighter rider, go with those. If your getting bigger or heavy go with those axail2 140. Solid binding.
Fks is good but for a beginner park rider you don't need them.
I ride this years with look pivots (same as fks) and love them. Had them for a week and a half (got em after I broke my nordica's AND solomon's....) They hold up well for cruising and have a good wing weight on rails. They are a little on the stiff side but I like jumps more so it's kinda preference. I am ~5'10 150.
